I just watched for the umpteenth time.
Dodging flak over Bremen.
Putting the fire out.
This last one is just a link, not because I don't think you would guess but because it's not edited. Besides, the file name gives it away.
Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

You're entitled to your opinion but I thought it was very good. It's one of my favorites.

I don't go to the movies, if that's what you mean. But I've got about 150 on DVD and have probably seen over five thousand in my life. I just don't see the new ones until they come out on disk. I'm sure there are a lot of different opinions about the quality of different movies on here. I watched a very old one yesterday on HULU that I liked. The Thunderbirds, made in 1942. The aerial photography was excellent, especially considering when it was made.

I bet that's worth watching. You should have it transferred to DVD before the tape gets too bad.
Thanks.

i would love to but i have no idea how-to...it is very interesting to watch...it is even in the early color, and at the end it has a couple cartoons promoting buying war bonds.

Everyone has there own opinion, just like he said.
No need to cut up on him because you dont think the movie was good.

I don't think he was being mean Tyler. I think he was just joking with me. At least that's the way I took it. But thanks.

It was pure Hollywood but at least there were a couple of real B17's. Ever watch the actual movie of their 25th mission - not nearly as dramatic, but real. They even got a visit from the King and Queen.

No, I'm sad to say I've never had the opportunity. But I would love to see it. As to being 'pure Hollywood', I sorta prefer that for entertainment purposes. Can't stand TV reality shows, except for Mythbusters and some documentaries, like the one you're talking about. If memory serves, I think there is some reel (sorry couldn't resist), real footage of the Doolittle Raid in the opening of Midway, another of my favorites. Heck, I like just about anything that is Naval WWII and made before 1980. I used to watch them every Sunday afternoon on TV when I was a kid. I just wish I could remember the names of some that I don't have on disk.
