Hello Multiplayer Chums... Smiley...!

Have you noticed how quiet its been on Sim V Multiplayer for the past few weeks?... Cry...!

We used to enjoy regular flights and on-line meetings at one time!

I regularly pop into the Server..... http://cockpit.netfrag.org:81/ ...and rarely see anyone now!

Has the novelty worn off?...Wink... Grin...!

I would spend more time connected to Multiplayer during the day, if only I was able to use the Default ATC at the same time!

That is the one thing I really miss as soon as I am on-line!... Cry...!

I don't suppose there is any way of enjoying both together, without using "Vatsim", "Teamspeak", or whatever?... Roll Eyes...!

I always make full use FS 2004 Default ATC for all my off-line, Solo flights, so I miss it as soon as I connect to Multiplayer, to check who is on-line!... Cry...!

..so, there you go, Chums...any chance of a bit more activity on our Sim V Multiplayer Channel?... Grin...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator...and a nice Bendix-King Nav/Comm Radio Stack!... Kiss.... Grin....!

"Hello!....anyone out there?....".... Roll Eyes... Wink.... Grin....!

Hi Paul!  I'm currently setting up another for the weekends, I hope to be starting it soon.

Would you be interested in redoing your Route66 trip as an online tour? I would be up for it. Smiley

I've lost the thread now, Shane....

....both due to advancing years, and the ability to recover Threads from the distant past... Cry.... Grin....!

I think the Thread listed all the various Airfields by ICO designations , en-route, all the time following Route 66 from Santa Monica to Chicago...

I used the Google Maps to trace, and follow the road below, and FS Navigator to locate the adjacent Airfields and Navigation Radio Beacons, and file the Flight Plans.

Each hop was limited to around one hour, or less... Smiley...!

Mind you, after leaving the Mountains of California and Nevada, the scenery of Central U.S. and Eastern U.S. left a lot to be desired!..Wink...ie: Flat and Boring!.... Grin...!

I "Wikipediad" each location, each time I "landed", to learn all about the local area...History, Population, Geography, Geology, etc...
...which is what I mainly use the Flight Simulator for...Wink...!

Paul....Mending a Puncture on my Motor-Bike's Tyre on Route 66!... Roll Eyes... Grin...!

.... Grin....!

Noticed this as well, I try to get on as often as I can but no seems to join in, very lonely. Sad

I would love to have a huge group of people online at once, that would be good fun. But differing time zones play havoc. Angry

What is the largest number of people you have ever been online with?

Largest group of people I ever saw online was at the time Jimbo used to plan his tours. Maybe 10 or 12 lads flying the same route. Very nice. Nowadays it's very quiet indeed. I can't fly the weekend hops due to work or other things (aka a little daughter) that need attention. I try to fly a hop or two from the hoplist during the week, but with this nice weather I rather be outside having a nice cold beer...

It is always interesting, noticing the different Time zones....Wink..!

When I trundle downstairs at around 9:00 AM each morning, I notice that our Australian Chums are already on line, (and ready to fly on Multiplayer), whereas our American Chums are still tucked up in Bed nice and cosy!... Smiley...!

If I pop on Multiplayer in the mornings in England, I sometime bump into Mazza (in Australia)..... Kiss...!

I regularly peek into http://cockpit.netfrag.org:81/ as the day progresses, and if I spot anyone interesting on Multiplayer, I sometimes wheel one of my piston props out of my Hangar and maybe join them...Wink...!

Paul...G-BPLF..FS 2004...FS Nav...and an early morning cup of Tetley Tea... Cool...!

I'm always checking the server status but no one is ever online so I don't get on myself... I'll start getting on though. That might attract others to join Cheesy

As a matter of fact, I got on last night, and a few minutes later Mitch was on, and we enjoyed a nice flight over Cuba while we talked about my family's struggles with communism Grin
