"Well, I thought I was a die hard low & slow fan, but you tube supporters really stepped up for this. The hardest part of this comp, is only getting to choose 3.

"The helo was a very original take on the bug smasher theme, and I've loved that scenery since the first time I saw him use it. Very, Very effective use of photo real scenery, it doesn't appear flat at all, and at first had me thinking he had entered a composite. It appears to have so much activity and life going on in this shot.
This shot also has all the elements I would want in a screenshot. The subject of the shot is not centered, and positioned in a way in which the helo can highlight and compliment the scenery. The 'smoggy' weather and poor visibility are top notch, proving you don't need fancy clouds to make a great shot. (although they do help sometimes.

"Firemonte007 takes second place."
"I
REALLY don't like that FSX bloom, but this is one of those rare shots, where it looks right, and helps the shot achieve a level of realism that is unobtainable without it.
The plane is the perfect choice for this comp, one of my favorites, and most definitely in my favorite paint job.
Once again, the misty / foggy weather elevates this shot above others! In real life conditions, you will probably never have unlimited, or even more than several miles of visibility.
Last but most certainly not least...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!

Third place is a tie
" We've had A LOT of ties here lately, thus proving that our screenartists are among the best out there!!

" At first, I wasn't going to pick any pre-used shots, I like the original efforts, but this one demands recognition.
Rob's abilities with composites are growing exponentially with every one he does, and this is by far one of his finest yet. I've even downloaded and installed this very plane, which he so graciously assembled and uploaded to the V for us. Thank you sir!
The lighting & shadow work is perfectly blended, and no one does the heat blur like he does. Now try a double composite, where you replace the sky in this pic with another.
Great work as always, and I can't wait to see the artwork you come up with next.

"This was the beauty in this competition. The flamingos are an outstanding touch, and make for one of the most serene shots I've ever seen. That this shot wound up in third, should speak volumes for the two that placed before it. ManuelL is one of the best compositional screen artists I've seen, his shots offer so much depth and tell little
stories, and make you look for more details. Excellent work."
"Well done, and many thanks to all that entered. With school season returning I understand that some of you don't have as much free time, so I appreciate the extra effort.
