Hello,
Recently my family got a new computer, the only problem I have with it is that the graphics card is kind of outdated for a new computer, so I was wondering what the best card with a max price of $200-$250 is. Also I would like to know if this would be any good. http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=896-P3-1260-RX-R&cat=VCD&cpc=VCDbsc

I have the SUperClocked edition of that card and I like it. A few things to think about though:

Since this is a family computer you need to know that:

1) this card is huge and may not fit in you current case. It is 10.5 inches long

2) this being a family computer you may have power requirement issues. You will need a Min of a 500w PSU. This card also requires 2 6pin PCI power connections.

If that will work for you you are good to go. Here is a link to the one I have.

If you don't mind a refurbished card, I suppose.  Don't know anyone that has a refurb.  Start a topic on it might be interesting
