I recently download a plane, it's not bad, I like it. It looked not bad, but when I flew it, I noticed something very odd. The wheels are invisible, they are there though.

Looks like you're using an FSDS1 model in FS9. When you first selected it did you get a warning message? If so you should choose the No option.

You can usually fix this by editing fs9.cfg. Open it in Notepad & look for the aircraft listed under the [FrameCallNoWarn] section. Change the value from 0 to 1.

I didn't get any warning thing, and it is in FSX not FS9 unless you mean it is an FS9 model...

Also, A bit off topic but about the same plane, it has no sound at all, It should sound like a cross of a turbo fan and a turbo prop (thats what it is...) any one has suggestions of where I could find something similar to this?

Sorry, you didn't say which version of FS you have. It might be better to post this in the FSX forum.

I suspect this is an FS9 aircraft. Should be easy enough to fix by using the sound from one that does work. If you tell us the file name & where to get it perhaps someone can check it out for you.

You can get the plane at:
http://www.fsdome.com/showpage.php?url=http://www.fsdome.com/airlines/91.htm

I got the sound covered, so just the landing gear...

Edit: Use this link instead:

I remember the 22...originally a FS98 plane that got ported to 9 then appearently ported to X (multiports always wind up with somethin going bad)...unless this is a newer 22 they created to replace the 98 model, but as far as I can tell it looks the same...

also you got the issue fixed? is the sound still bad cus I would be interested in running this in my fleet to test it...

Sorry. I'd forgotten all about this. Your links don't work for me.  There's an An-22 by the same authors posted here at Simviation. http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=88&page=7&mark=4512

There's no way an FS98 model will work in FSX.

PS. The FS9 version from my above link works fine in the FSX Demo. Alias Sound.cfg to a suitable default aircraft.

really? I been modifying planes ever since I got my hands on FS95/98 and I ported one from FS98 and it worked in FS9 and in FSX (not as good in FSX but it still worked some what with lots of issues and bugs)...

as for this thing working on FSX demo just fine whats the demo have (or lack there of) that the full FSX/FSX with acceleration/SP2 doesn't...wierd...looks to be somthin i will be looking into...

EDIT: attempted to download it from the new link provided above, i get to the plane, however when I click the down load now button it doesnt take me to the download page, it takes me to another page...

is there an alternate location for the exact plane, or should I use the FSdome link to get it?

Of aircraft from earlier versions of MSFS only those models exported with the FS9 SDK will port over to FSX. Many FS9 aircraft that worked fine in FSX RTM have display problems with SP2. I'm not sure the gear in this example will display properly in FSX + SP2 as I only have the Demo.

You should have no problems downloading files from Simviation. I downloaded it myself from my above link. It looks like the same file. Here it is again. http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=88&page=7&mark=4512
