I'm trying to install "Real Environment Pro"

I get this prompt

...

What does it want, or need?

Seems like I installed this years ago, then uninstalled it. I didn't have this problem then  Huh

My install is in the default location, and the folder is named - Flight Simulator 9

Thanks for any help  Cheesy

Well i dont want to sound funny but.VISTA is your problem.
Try to delete fs.cfg and then restart fs again and keep your fingers crossed.
Cheers

Ummm, FS knows where it is, VISTA knows where FS is, FS knows where VISTA is, but nobody knows where Michael Jackson is.  Grin

REP says it doesn't know where "Flight Sim software" is.

FS starts fine, that's not the problem, the REP install gizmo that is supposed to guide my choices of new stuff for FS, wet runway, snow runway, etc... can't find "Flight Sim software", so it gives me the prompt shown.

My FS install is in the default location, c:/Program Files/Micro...games/Flight Simulator 9

But the REP gizmo says it can't find "Flight Sim software" files

I'm not even sure that "Flight Sim software" means FS9

I didn't want to join a forum where I downloaded this, I just thought I'd swing by here and see whassup  Smiley

Sounds like a registry problem. There's a little utility that should fix it. FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool  here ---> http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library

Is it in the "program files" or "program files (x86)" folder?

Our FS installs in the (x86) folder and some add-ons still default to look in the other program files folder. I miss it sometimes.....

Stevehookem is probably right. Do you have 64bit Vista? 32 bit programs go to Program Files (x86) and I had the same problem with real environment pro. I just fixed it by navigating to the flight sim install within REX.
