Looking at a laptop to order in the next month. Would like you all's opinion and suggestions. Here is what I expect from it:
- Dedicated Video card (preferably over 512MB.)
- Fast memory (preferably over DDR2 800MHz and 4GB)
- CPU speed and HDD space are flexible (Just 2.0Ghz+ and 250GB+ are suitable for me)

-All on no more than $750 (started at $500 but decided to stretch it a bit).

Dont know much labout laptops but everything else is really all secondary.

I will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering, so the primary purpose will be to easily run any demanding programs I may have to... as well as play FS9 marvelously (and maybe even FSX decently).

This is what I have found to suit me nicely.

FSX?

the processor is 2.1 dual core... won't do much in FSX. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try though Wink

I have a laptop nearly like that. Check my sig for specs.

But then again, I think the 9600 is better for gaming than the GT130 (correct me if i'm wrong)

Otherwise, it looks good. I only (well, most of the time) have stuttering and low FPS when i'm on/close to the ground or when I turn my view around really fast.

Specs Intel M C2D P8400 2.26 GhZ nVidia GeForce 9600M GT 4 GB DDR3 320 GB HD Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (like that helps this OS ROFL) 32-bit
...

I WANT WINDOWS 7 RIGHT NOW! I'M SO SICK OF THIS TERRIBLE OS!
Especially since it BSOD'ed me once due to FS2004 crashing LMAO FAIL.

OK guys... thanks for the reviews and opinions.

Looked at the MSI, 757200ba, but I think i'll stay with this one for a bit less.
Think I'm satisfied. Won't expect too much but it should get the job done.
