Hello, I have been on FSX for about a year now and want to update scenery. Right now as far as graphics I am running the default scenery. I have read about dedicating hard drive to fsx and wonder how to go about doing that also I am considering upgrading my computer. Right now I have 2gb of memory and a Nivida GForce 8500gt video card. My question first is can you dedicate hard drive space to fsx to make it run smoother and next what would you recommend as far as hardware upgrades? Thank

Ok , let me tell you this.
I know mabe not many people might have the chance to do this but, running a pc just for FS makes a hell of a diference. I have a medium machine for FS9.No internet no anti virus. Nothing on background.
Believe me, what a diference.Even PMDG software, that they say it take lots of sys. resources, works ok, even with "heathrow, the latest one with 85% of traffic never goes under 25 fps.
So if you have the chance, do it. If you "fly" on your day pc, you will "pay" in performance.
Maybe its not what you want to hear, but thats what i have achieved.
To see the diference.
So before you start to "devide " your sys. Think about it

Also, that way you don't have your friends or family members using your PC (with FS on it!) and messing it up or changing settings or installing crap on it... which is SO annoying!
