Do you think we could create an online server for SimV, so we could have a virtual air war?

I'm good with this idea too. I have read that are some online incompatabilities between IL2 versions. Forgotten Battles VS the first edition. I don't know for sure, but, that could be problematic.

In my opinion, this was always answered.
They are equally great...
The difference was in who was at the controls at the time. In the right hands, either plane was a very effective weapon.

Online IL2 is the way to fly!!
I am going to be re-installing it tonight as soon as my 1946 disc gets here this afternoon. I was flying with the whole set-up of all the discs and patches in the correct order etc....
Myself and a few online friends would read up on a historic battle, then try and set it up in IL2 and re-enact it to the best of our ability. Much fun and a history lesson all at once!
