Hi,

is it possible that the real world weather server is down? Haven't been able to get a weather update in some time now.

Well, I checked my side of the internerd and everything seems fine. Ports are set on the router, firewall is set up right. FS9 re-installed but still no real world weather. For now I'll fly user defined, maybe it'll come back one day...

Hello Micro...

I remember I did a search for it...

It came up...I downloaded "Weather Maker Pro 4.9", (old version from somewhere), and installed it, and I use it daily....for free...which is nice....Smiley...!

The only one I had to purchase recently was "Ground Environment Pro"...£35!... Shocked... Shocked... Shocked...!

Paul...Whether the Weather is willing or not... Cool...!

I did have the REALLY OLD, simple version of "Weather Maker" at one time, when it was free, a long time ago...but it was then discontinued and I lost it!

Have a poke around for it...Wink...!

"Real Environment" is nice as well.
I start every session off with the two programs.....which is lovely... Kiss...!

Hmm. Just looked at the payware version on simMarket (only 9 euros!) and it does indeed look good, so I might give it a go, to sit alongside the fab ISG1 FMC etc. that I got from there a couple of months ago.

Any downsides? I hear you have to have 'render to texture' turned off.

Can someone provide me with a downloadlink to Real Environment? Tried to google it but only get forumthreads or screenshots of it. There seems to be a download available from Avsim but that doesn't work yet. Many thanks in advance.

I've always wondered about your 'round abouts' over there.

..our "Roundabout" system could have prevented the early demise of James Dean...>>>

(The 24 year-old actor was killed in a tragic car crash on September 30th 1955 while driving his Silver Porsche 550 Spyder -- affectionately nicknamed 'The Little Bastard', around the time that Giant was completed and about a month before Rebel opened. Dean was on his way to car races in Salinas on October 1st. The crash occurred at the intersection of Routes 41 and 46 near Paso Robles at Cholame, and he died enroute to the hospital.).

I had a peek at that intersection on Google Map...and my FS 2004 Flight Sim....as I do...Wink...!

I HATE roundabout intersections. Most people don't seem to have a clue what do in and around them. I think I've had more close calls at those stupid things than normal intersections...! Roll Eyes

The rules of the Roundabout:

We give way to the traffic on our right...

Roundabouts are funny. Especially when you go from mainland Europe to the U.K. and you encounter you're first roundabout. They drive on the wrong side of the road Smiley so for the first time you go the right (legally  Wink) instead of to the left. Scary shit at first.

Crash Wink (motorbike roundabout maniac)

PS. Installed Real Environment Pro but don't like it that much. Going back to FE and GEpro. Thanks anyway.
