WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

Judge Patchz says :

"It was very difficult, but I managed to do it.
"

Gtirob01!!

...

"I just kept coming back to Rob's shot, over and over. This shot is so realistic, it's unbelievable. I can almost smell the aircraft and hear the generator running. I can even imagine what it looks like inside the office. And the buildings and terrain in the far background look out of focus, as it would in a real photo. Congratulations Rob, well done.
"

CONGRATULATIONS Gtirob01!!!!

"Cantflywontfly takes a very well deserved second place."

...

"The breathtaking beauty of Deano's shot is just amazing. The colors are just so vibrant and crisp, an absolutlely gorgeous shot. Congratulations Deano, great job."

Third place is a tie!

SeanTK  !

...

Wafu448

...

"I just could not choose one over the other, especially after the difficulty of deciding first and second place. The angle, sky and overall compostition of these two are excellent. Congratulations, you both entered fantastic shots."

"There were a lot of great shots entered and it was extremely difficult to select the winners. Congratulations to all of you,

Larry"

Nice work on a great comp!

Gtirob is back on the bench again next week! Can't wait to see what he comes up with for a theme.
A big congratulations to the other finalists, and great job to all that entered. Smiley

Cheers

ShaneG

Hey Patchz

Just checking. Are you saying just
Freeware
?  This will be the first time since the JC contest started that it's freeware only. Also it says this months contest, not this weeks contest in the rules. I'm afraid you will not get to many entries by allowing just freeware.

hey Bob,

i can remember a few JC contests with just freeware (i think  Undecided ) and from what i remember the reception to the idea was good! having said that, i can understand it might be difficult for those with addons such as rex etc that may be a hassle to turn off.. luckily for us all, there are loads of great freeware stuff for FS!

I think Freeware only makes for a more level playing field Bob. The last time I was judge it was freeware only then too. And I remember a couple more.
As to the week/month, it was a typo on my part. But below that, it correctly states 'This weeks other rules'. Sorry.

Exactly. Since this is a 'family' forum, I won't type what I said when I saw Aussie's and Deano's shots. I may have to go get some more JD after all.  Grin

i may be wrong but i think a composite is classed as a shot that contains more that one shot blended... for eg, a fsx screenshot and a photo blended is a composite, so is two fsx shots blended in photoshop to make one shot...  but a single screengrab simply edited using color/ contrast etc isnst a composite....

hope that help

You're not wrong Deano. Good explanation. I've been doing composites for years, but never with FS screenshots 'til I joined here. This one of my daughter is actually three photos, the room, my daughter, and then the cat.

This one of my ex-step granddaughter is just two, her and the cat.

I guess around here, a composite is a combination of a part from FS (the aircraft for example), and a real photo (background). Im not really sure the blending of multiple FS shots would be a composite or not. As for me, Id just consider it an edit.

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.
