Well I'v reinstalled FS2004 after a brief flutter with FSX and unfortunately discovered that in generall I cant get it to run as nicely as I'd like on my rig  Sad

Anyhow,so I'v got FSglobal 2008,FE2004 and GE2006 for FS9(and various other lovely freeware add ones)but am wondering if it's worth upgrading to ground enviroment pro from ground enviroment 2006?
What advantages does it give? I'v read their web page and I see it does offer some nice extra stuff but does anyone here think it's worth it?I'dont mind spending the money on it as I do play and enjoy Fs quiet a bit but would just like to know your guy's opinion if anyones tried both or even just the pro version.

thanks guys(and gals)

I've never used GE2006, or even seen it. Cheesy

But...

I do use and endorse GEP.  It is the single greatest payware addon for FS9 in my very humble opinion.

Of all of the pay & free addons I've installed in FS9, GEP made the most noticable, and pleasing global changes. Cool

A very nice free alternative, would be the Golden Wings/Silver Wings set ups.  Those however are very oriented to a particular flying style & time period Wink

Cheers for the response shane,GE2006 does make a very noticable difference to FS9,it's made coming back from FSX quiet painless,I might stick with it a bit longer, although i think the lure of the extra options like the custom texture colours, new region sets and nicer landclass file's will get me in the end(probably quiet soon  Cheesy)

thanks again  Cool

I too am using GEP and am happy with the way it looks, but I think if I was gonna make any changes to my ground textures it would definately be to VOZ  http://www.vistaoz.org/media.html ; they work globally and they look great...........and their free  Cool

cheers rom,I actually just got Voz this week and Wow!,they've certainly done quiet an amazing job with it,I didnt realise you could use it world wide though, that would indeed certainly be a nice upgrade to the whole world, the trick I suppose is getting the terrain texture set from voz to match the terrain where you intend to fly.

I thinks its going to be fun figuring that out  Cool

thanks mate

I havent actually used VOZ but from what I understand in the configurator or set-up menu or whatever they call it, there is a field to check for use textures globally and you instantly get australian global domination  Shocked
