Spins
... I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't practiced even stall recovery in a long time. I did my BFR in May, and I really didn't like the stall stuff. I guess I'm getting old and complacent
Last time I was in a spinning aircraft, was durng the CFI checkride. It was a Tomahawk
And in the period working up to that ride, my instructor (a devilish lad) got me into a spin.. and the recovery resulted in ANOTHER spin, opposite direction
...
Not long ago.. we (my 30,000 hour mentor and I) were in a PA28-151, and he was feeling frisky.. did a maneuver called, "Wing-over". It's really a pretty timid deal.. but I didn't like it ONE bit...
(he says I need to take some aerobatic training..lol)
ANYway.. that 30-40 knot trick mentioned earlier, is a wind-shift, and dyslexic rudder-foot away from a spin
