Welcome to the monthly contest admissions thread for Best Screenshots of July 2009!!

The bar has always been set high here at Simviation, and our judge's standards are VERY high as well, and it will take more than your average shot to make it as one of their top three picks. The quality of shots here gets better and better each month, and I'm sure this month will be no different.

When nominating a shot, the aim is to choose the VERY BEST screenshots/screenart from each FS forum in the last month and display them in our permanent gallery.

Rules:


1.
You can submit 3 shots of your own, and an UNLIMITED* NUMBER OF PICS BY OTHER PEOPLE.  


*
Unlimited = 'within reason' i.e. 10 or so is okay...not 5, 372... Wink  Cheesy

That way, people who are really keen to participate and contribute are free to do so and can 'cover for' those who for whatever reason don't get around to it.... Smiley




2. You don't have to nominate all pictures at once,
just keep adding them TO YOUR ORIGINAL POST
using the edit button.




3. Submit the pictures as links without image tags, or if you feel like it, thumbnails. Do not submit full images! New image size guidelines apply.




4.      
Write next to the image who made it, and if it is F, P or E (Freeware, Payware or Edited).

5.The admissions thread will close officially at midnight on the last day of the month and the gallery team will knock up three polls, one for each of the screenshot forums.

6. This competition is for members, and if no one nominates anything the contest will disappear. Not everyone likes contests...but those of you who do need to get involved.

We're aiming for around 80 nominations - i.e. 16 people nominate five shots each... so don't hold back and NOM-IN-ATE!!

Sorry i didn't notice... I will delete that vote if you want? I saw it and it was a beautiful shot and was on the first page so i guessed it was July Cheesy

This has happened before. Wink

If a shot from the previous month gets nominated for the current month, it will be allowed if:

-It was NOT a finalist the month before

-It was commented on in the month it's being nominated in.

If it passes those two criteria, then I see no reason why a judge shouldn't be allowed to select it for a finalist.

Smiley   I'm not trying to gaff everyone off, there are so many shots worth nominating that sometimes it can be very time consuming going through them all.  Add that time into competing in contests, moderating the site, and trying to keep the wife from banning me from the site...sometimes I just have to bite the bullet and hope no one here gets mad at me  Undecided  I honestly try to keep up with everything going on here!!

When things slow down at work again (as they do every winter after Toys for Tots) I'll be back into full Nom mode again.  Lots of funeral details and color guards and USMC weddings getting in the way of my free time during the nice weather...

With Shane pumping out all these new contests (which really add some life to the forums, he's really made it fun here) it's all I can do to participate/moderate in everything at once  Smiley  Don't take me for a man who's word is no good, I meant to get some noms in on time  Undecided

Dont worry about it. Im sure everyone is just kidding around with you. Wink

You've got an important job of keeping these forums together and of being part of the USMC im sure your always busy.

I forgive you, although I was never mad at you and im sure noone else is. Cool
