Not sure whether this post should be here or on FS2004, so please move it to the most appropriate forum.

I'm having trouble downloading this program from the Flight1 website. I've tried to follow the instructions described on the website, but I don't seem to get anywhere.

I posted this query this morning in their UT Forum, but have no responses.

Can someone provide me with the step-by-step procedure for the downloading and installing of this program?

Jim B:-? Huh

Well it has been a while since I got UT can/alaska but as I recall you need to D/L the installer which is a relatively small exe file, after you have this file on your computer, then you run the application and it will D/L the program...........I'm pretty sure that was the way  Roll Eyes but like I said it's been a while.  Wink
Good luck.......it's money well spent  Smiley

It took me a while to decipher the instructions, but I finally worked it out and got it properly installed. I'm not impressed with it yet. As it indicated everything was reversable, I started out by running the complete application to see what its affects were. It seemed to eliminate most of the smaller default buildings in many cities, especially mine (Toronto). And most of my sea/lakeside add-ons were either stranded inland or out in the middle of the water, though I expected that would be the case. So I reverted back to default FS2004 and have begun the process of determining what and how each section of UT affects what section of FS2004.

Just another learning process I guess, complicated to some degree by the wiping out of many of AvSim's scenery add-ons designed for UT. I'm sure I'll find other sources of UT compatible scenery.

Thanks for the comments.

I only had one scenery area that didn't like UT everything else I had it meshed up with beautifully, I fly mostly on the west coast (BC where I live) and I like to use charts for nav, and UT makes that possible.....as for it removing some autogen buildings......bummer, they were probably conflicting with the correctly place roads and removed.

Also, be sure to place UT after(below) all your addon scenery in priority in the scenery library

ROM: Would your advice to give the UT priority in FSp scenery also apply to the "Ground Environment" payware?

Ground environment is a set of textures as opposed to a scenery area, so it is not part of your scenery library, it's like paint we put over a scenery area.
