Cmos Settings Wrong (Read 222 times)

Since I reinstall win XP home a few months ago, on each first bootup it stops on black screen saying:-
1. Cmos Settings Wrong
2. Sett Date & Time
3. F1 for setup
4. F2 st default values & continue
I did all the above several times, but the same thing happens on next bootup from cold, it starts normally on a REstart.
Can it be corrected somehow? ...........thanx .....nick

is you or your system

Replace the motherboard battery.. its dead and not retaining the CMOS memory

Thanx NN, makes sence as it's for my  old Asus A8N32-SLI which run on this battery for 4 yrs now. Time to change it.
