I only have 1 runway, and is in a rather remote part of the world. But many airliners visit me... my runway is more than 10,000ft long, and even has ILS on both ends.
Where am I?

Could you give us another hint? It really doesn't help matters that you are not using addon scenery for the airport or surrounding area.

Alright
sorry!
Let's see.... even though it's on a major trading location, at a crossroads of many countries, used by many hundreds of years, the people here still
do not speak English or Spanish
(hint hint nudge nudge). It's June, but there were still some snow on the mountains nearby.

Not so warm.
This is a very old trading location.
While looking around you would think it never rains, in the winter the locals have to use the frozen rivers.

People here would have never heard of that place. Nice guess, though, but the last time I tried landing at Thule I didn't see any trees... in fact, I didn't see anything outside the base that wasn't white!

I agree with Skoker. Come on though, the addon scenery for UNNT is so awesome!
I was originally going to say Nizhnevartovsk Airport, but it only gets domestic service, and you said the feature airfield gets a number of international flights.

Thanks for introducing me to that airport and that add-on scenery, though
You're getting very warm. There is a direct flight to here from Novosibirsk according to one of these airlines.

Nope, but close. According to FSX, here is the shape of the Astana terminal (different than the picture in the original post):
I do have a direct flight to Astana, too!

That's why it's so difficult for me. FS9 and FSX do not look anything alike in that particular shot. I really thought I had it. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
How about....
Ürümqi Diwopu International Airport, located in Diwopu, a suburb north-west of Ürümqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwestern China. 11,811' concrete runway. Just don't ask me to pronounce any of that.

Finally! Don't know why I got so caught up in this, especially since geography is not my forte. But it was fun. I also found a beautiful little crater lake about 33 miles due east, called Tianchi Lake, which means Heaven Lake. Of course the FS9 version is nowhere near as beautiful, but I downloaded a pic I plan to use in a composite. If you fly in the area, watch the winds. I found my Porter flying almost sideways several times.
Thanks Barb, you made it really difficult. You don't happen to be a geography teacher do you?

Hehe, thanks for playing! You guys made it fun... I was hoping you guys were up to the challenge as it would've been too easy for me to post "Google-able" hints
No, I'm not a teacher, but we watched this TV documentary on the Silk Road and it talked about the region.
