Good evening.

    I am in the process of setting up a RAID 0 array on 2 WD Velociraptors.

    The Question:  When I stripe the array should I go with a 256k or a higher value?

    I have a dedicated Raid controller card with BBU from 3ware for this setup.

    This Raid 0 array will only have FSK and the necessary add-ons. The OS will be on its own HDD.
