Count me in Shaneo.
Shaneo? What is that? His nameo?
We've got a comedian here.
In Australia we tend to put an "o" on the end of people's names. Its our way.

Normal shots will NOT go far here.
This is for your absolute best work, if that means a composite goes up against a normal shot, than so be it.
Anything goes, means ANYTHING.
(well, except posting pics of real planes.
)
This comp will start JULY 1st, 2009 so you will all have time to practice, and get through your exams.
All match-ups will be decided randomly by picking names from a hat.
From there, it's up to you and your skills to keep you in the contest.
It's single round elimination. When you're out, you're out.
IMPORTANT: ALL SHOTS MUST REMAIN ANONYMOUS UNTIL EACH ROUND IS OVER!!

You can do a normal shot if you want, but.....
Here is how a SINGLE ROUND will work:
The match up is announced on Monday
The two contestants have until FRIDAY (NO EXCEPTIONS) to PM me the shot. If I have both on Friday before I log off, the poll goes up on Friday, if not, then Saturday. If I log on Saturday and only have one entry waiting, they are the automatic winner.
On Sunday afternoon (USA) I will close the poll and announce who's was who's.
The winner then moves on to the semi finals, the loser goes home.
I think the 'anonymous' entries will add a very nice flavor to this comp, and will help to keep it focused entirely on the artwork itself.
Granted, some people's styles are unmistakable, so this could very well get interesting. Who's willing to change things up to throw us off?

It's a lot easier than you think.
I can read a hundred page book in 10 minutes and tell you 85-90% of what it's about.
I use a technique called skimming. Pick out & read the big words, skip the small ones, your brain picks them up subconsciously. Within a week, you'll be surprised how fast you can go through a book.

I do the same if I just want to preview a book or an article. But to really enjoy a book I read at my own normal speed. That way in my mine I become absorbed into the story and its just like watching a movie, in color. So why rush. Some books you never what to end.
