I'm having a little trouble installing a water runway at CYTZ (Toronto City Centre). I've created it in AFCAD, together with a taxiway, and it appears okay on the modified airport. Problem is, when I open the airport in FS2004, the taxiway appears on the water, but the runway doesn't show up on the list of runways, and ATC wont confirm its existence. I've gone over the AFCAD instructions several times and can't find where I may have gone wrong. I previously installed a water runway at Vancouver BC and it worked okay, both on the runway list and recognized by ATC. Only difference between the two is Vancouver didn't use a taxiway. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.  Huh

Did you add "start" locations to each end of the runway?  Start locations (correctly named) are essential to having the runway show up in the list of runways.

And if you do not want the taxiways to show, make them 0 (zero) width.

Hope that helps.

That did it. Thanks Dave.
