From the bits and pieces I've read in different threads, it seems logical than someone (Nick N) has written the definitive 'how to organize  your stuff (FS9 and XP basically) on two hard drives', the larger of which will be the slave.  If such a thing does exist, I'd appreciate knowing the link.

Not sure what you are asking..

If you are asking how to run 2 drives there are no links to anything. Its simply a matter of installing 2 physical drives.. install the OS to one drive and FSX to the other

There is no such thing as a 'slave' drive on modern SATA systems. Thats is a term reserved for the old IDE hard drive systems where a CD/DVD and a hard drive (or 2 hard drives) exist on one big ribbon cable

Thats gone with the wind in todays systems

I would never run a performance application or a OS on a IDE hard drive.. only SATA

That makes two of us.

You've answered my question - always simpler when explained by someone who knows.  Both drives are SATA - my use of jargon is merely a cover for lack of knowledge, common in many fields  Smiley.
