Hopefully will refly the one Shane and I did a couple of days ago..... Taipei to Kai Tak runway 31 STAR approach.  About 9:15 PM off the blocks.  Should take about 1 1/2 hours or so.  I'm flying JAL BAe 146-200 FL 320 mach .68 to .69.  SimV server, and Teamspeak.

If anyone else is there...... welcome.

best,

....................john

Likely I will be "off the blocks" at about 9:30 PM now.  Got hung up out working in my studio.

Ahem.... actually ...... "JAL flight 651 to Hong Kong will be departing at approximately 9:30 PM due to flight crew delay.  We apologize for any inconvenience."

best,

....................john

PS:  Flight is RCTP to VHHX.

Great flight! I think Shane hit a mountain near the end or something (CTD), and other than my having default scenery, it was an exciting arrival "in the soup".  Smiley

Yeah... good flight.  Thanks for joining me.  I love that Rwy 13 approach.  And it was interesting with the clouds for a ways into the final.  But it broke out earlier that I'd have liked.... wanted it to get close to minimums.  Grin

Yeas Shane just popped of the screen just after CH VOR and before the turn into the SL NDB.  Oh well..... that's just the way of MSFS sometimes.

best,

Stunning flight, up until my Crash to reboot! Shocked

I think I may have been pushing my poor system a little too hard in its current schizo state of being.

I may have to stop putting off that reinstall. Cheesy Wink

Looking forward to the next one! Smiley

It could be, she is getting rather dusty in there, and it's been having lots of problems since I suffered a trojan virus that wiped out my IE & various other windows functions. Embarrassed

That and I was running :FS9,screenhunter,TS,AS,FSNavigator, & live ATC feed, and I don't think any of these are dual core aware, so I was probably flirting with disaster anyway. Cheesy

I'm going to open her up, do a good clean up, and reinstall from scratch. Grin Wink

This time maybe a more of a  'lite' version, I don't use half the crap on here anyway. Grin

Shane,

One thing I do periodically (probably not as often as I should  Wink)  is take the video card apart and blow out the ducts for the card's fan.  The narrow passages in that heat exchanger get plugged pretty good and faster than you'd expect.

best,

Yes, I occasionally take the whole case with all components out into the garage for a good air compressor cleaning. Really works wonders sometimes.

Just finished doing exactly that. Smiley Man was she DIRTY!! Shocked Embarrassed

And John, you weren't kidding about the Graphics card! Shocked And that thing was a tough little booger to get cleaned.
Took forever also to get all 5 case/PSU fans cleaned fully. Had to pull the RAM out to get the dust out of their heat sink shields.

Overall, looks brand new again! I'm running a full 10degrees cooler now! Shocked Still buggy as all hell, but the reinstall will fix all that. I just need to go through my zip file drive and get a reinstall package put together.  Wink
