My joystick not been responding well lately when I try to roll right. The up, down, and left directional movements work fine, but rolling to the right only works when I give nearly full input on the stick. I have tried calibrating my stick, but it only works for a few minutes before reverting to the problem.

USB connection? If so, try unpluging it, then reconnecting it using a different USB port. Let Windows detect it as "new" hardware, and see if that fixes it.
