June 5, 6, and 7th, 2009!
http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html

I'll be going on the 6th, anyone else planning on attending?

Here's the current aircraft roster. They usually end up with a lot more aircraft than are listed here. Expect the list to expand in the next few weeks. (Already an impressive list)

I'll be flying in at least one of the dates. As it gets closer, I'll let you know. I'd imagine Sean (rottydaddy) will be attending, too.

Sean(TK), do you live in the area?

Yes, I live west of that location. I was thinking about flying in also (Cessna 172RG out of KCXY) but it'll probably just be easier for me to drive there. (And cheaper)

I'm trying to line up an airplane,,  The day that I can get one, is the day I'll fly there/back. It's about a 2.75 hour flight from KOSU.. It'll most likely be Sunday.

UPDATE...  I have a Warrior booked for Sunday.. now weather is the only factor  Smiley

I'll only be there on Saturday, but at least no one will be missing out on the aircraft action. Wink
Among the usual aircraft crowd, there are supposed to be appearances by at least one Spitfire, Corsair, and Wildcat. I also am seeing that they are plannning on bringing in a Helldiver! I didn't even know that a flying one existed!
The usual B-25's, Mustangs, and a crap load of liaisons will be out and about as well.

Brett, you're going to have to make sure you arrive at a good time before:
1. All of the parking is taken.
2. The actual flying displays start (field is closed unless it is a medivac flight that needs to come or go.)
Wink

Better check this out... you may have to leave earlier.  Undecided

http://www.maam.org/wwii/pilot_info.htm

A possible Plan B: you fly into a nearby airport, and one of us could fetch you there, drive you to KRDG, then bring you back later in the afternoon while the show is in progress (actually a really good time to drive out of there).
The only possible snag with that is that getting in to the show by car can take awhile... you have to line up with everyone else to get into parking areas on the perimeter of the field, then hop on a bus for a short trip to where you stand in line for entry.  Roll Eyes

Another possibility: no chance you could just wait until the field re-opens for your return flight? Should be plenty of daylight, and that way you won't miss the show (which is awesome).

Agreed. Most, if not all of the heavy stuff is flying in the afternoon.

Thinking about splurging on a ride on Yankee Lady as well. Cheesy

That's a good idea. Grin   If you have second thoughts about the "A"-ticket ride (B17), I see they are giving rides in a Cornell this year  for a lot less (in addition to the usual Stearman and AT-6 rides).

No airplane rides for me, though... I probably shouldn't even be spending the money on attending the show (still ain't got no "yob").
