Sorry to hear that Rob ....... Undecided

Well the practice is being dominated by Barrichello and Button swapping the fastest times.

"Brawn were probably quite happy with the diffuser row because it stopped people looking at the other things that probably make the real difference."

Just what Gary Anderson's been saying in Autosport for weeks! It's not just the diffuser! Grin

its quite obvious it wasn't just the diffusor. One look at the nose and you can see they knew something others didn't. Everyone else has high noses but the brawns is a low curved one. The front wing is also very sculpted.

Any updates on the current standings in our points table Rob? Smiley

Sorry to everyone, I've had a bit of a traumatic few weeks, my Grandfather passed away and it was his funeral today.. so that's been me tied up pretty much since the F1 season started..and it's been all I can do to keep the comp going..

Rest assured I'm on it.. I just need to lift last years from the lounge PC and transfer it to the laptop and I'll be good to go.

Don't feel bad for asking either, none of you were to know  Smiley

Cheers lads!
Cool

Ah, as Andy said, very sorry to hear that Rob. Sad

It will be interesting to see the fuel loads after todays qualifying. I think we will still see that Brawn are significantly heavier than the rest. The diffuser is worth 0.3 seconds a lap. There is a greater time difference over the diffuser cars than that. I think that the rest are trying a quick fix and a light fuel load that will not make that much difference in the race. Just have to wait and see.

As I thought;

1.  Vettel          644.0kg
2.  Alonso          637.0kg
3.  Webber          646.5kg
4.  Barrichello     661.0kg
5.  Button          659.0kg

6.  Trulli          664.5kg
7.  Rosberg         650.5kg
8.  Raikkonen       673.5kg
9.  Hamilton        679.0kg
10.  Buemi           673.0kg
11.  Heidfeld        679.0kg
12.  Kovalainen      697.0kg
13.  Massa           690.0kg
14.  Glock           652.0kg
15.  Nakajima        682.7kg
16.  Bourdais        690.0kg
17.  Piquet          697.9kg
18.  Kubica          659.0kg
19.  Sutil           648.0kg
20.  Fisichella      679.5kg

All Alonso will do is hold everyone up and let Vettel scamper off into the distance if he holds second into the first corner.

Alonso is very light and has KERS (no one else round him does), the renault is one of the best cars off the line regardless. If he doesn't get into turn 1 first I would be very surprised. Barrichello has 8 laps more fuel than Vettel and Button has 7 laps more. Alonso is about 12 laps lighter if the 2kg to 2.2kg a lap fuel useage comes in. That suggests to me Renault might try to run the soft tyre first for a short stint then hope simmilar to Australia the others have troubles at the end and they can do a Kubica like final stint. We'll see though.

Flavio has been manic with crazy accusations of Brawn GP, and this response by Ross gave me a chuckle:

" When asked at Shanghai if he had a message for Briatore, Brawn cheekily replied: "I think change the medication!" "

Lets hope he doesn't become the rolling road block that he was in Malaysia...
