I am another who is waiting for windows 7, But I had to replace hard drive and so must install a OS. I am thinking about Vista I have Both Vista 32 and 64 bit. I like xp but just want something diffrent.
My question is I only have 3 gigs of Ram just never needed more than that. But in the poll a few threads down most here prefer x64 bit. What is the advantage to 64 bit with 3 gigs of ram. I have read all the diffrences but just wondering is there really a advantage?.. Most of what I play COD4, Halo, UT, Assassains creed and of course FS9 is all 32 bit, what if any gain will there be..... Thanks  Smiley

Just kidding...

If you only have 3 gigs of RAM, you won't see much improvement going over to 64-bit, as it's main advantage is it's being able to use over 3.7GB RAM

And I wouldn't recommend Vista, having removed mine only 2 weeks ago... really, the resource hogging, the security annoyances, are not worth the pretty windows  Roll Eyes

Cheers
