Hey all,
I tried to repaint an aircraft recently - just to see how it looks like.
I downloaded a plane+repaint kit from SimV, and using DXT and Photoshop started repainting.
However, I don't manage to apply the repaint to the airplane.
Could someone please post a recomended (easy to paint) repaint kit and a guide of how to apply the repaint to the aircraft?
I've seen several guides, but I just don't manage to apply the textures.

Many thanks for any help,

I dont really get what your asking but I guess you havnt done anything with the config. If you just toss textures in a texture folder it wont show up. Open up the aircraft config with notepad or wordpad and youll see this

[fltsim.0] <---- every repaint has a number copy and paste this and edit the number
title=Cessna Skyhawk 172SP Paint1  <---- The menu name for it
sim=Cessna172SP
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=1  <name it the folder name (the word after the period)
kb_checklists=Cessna172SP_check
kb_reference=Cessna172SP_ref
atc_id=  < tail number
ui_manufacturer="Cessna"
ui_type="C172SP Skyhawk"
ui_variation=" Blue, Gold"  <--- What the sim knows it as change it
ui_typerole="Single Engine Prop"
ui_createdby="Microsoft Corporation"
description="A stable and trustwor (cut out the description because of length)

Copy and paste that and edit those to create a new variation of the aircraft
