Quote:"It won't be necessary to discuss it (the medals). If the rules are out before they enter that's how it is."
So basically Bernie not only is the top guy of FOM and F1, but he is now also the president of the FIA, as it is they who decide the rules and methods of points scoring.
I am betting if he tries to get the fia presidente whomever it might be to push it through before the teams are signed up for next years title, we may see a breakaway series.
Quote:"Absolutely - if you go to the athletics and look at the 100m you're not looking at the guy that's second, you're looking at the winner,"
This further shows how senile and how far up his own rectum Bernie is.
Generally Athletics is a one off event with the winner being just that, the winner. I might be wrong but there is no championship table where its all accumulated to a final champion. There may be in some cases but the closest situation to this would be the olympics where by its not a series but one event with a series of heats to determine the champion. Unless Bernie plans to introduce that. Every weekend we have a series of differant drivers competing where by the winner goes through to the finals and everyone else is done the next weekend we get a bunch of new drivers to fight for a place in the finals. Come brazil we'll have everyone who's qualified fight it out for a gold medal.
