I have searched high and low over 5-6 download sites, But i have come up empty handed. I have found however a few other missles on here, simv, but not really what i am looking for. I would love it, and appreciate it VERY much if someone who doesnt have very much to do, could possibly look into building an AIM-9 Sidewinder Missle.
here is the over view of the details for it (near the bottom of the page)
http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-9.html
If someone does tackle this project, dont worry about putting in a Cockpit as i already have one in mind for it from the RQ-4A Drone.

nobody is willing to try this project????? If it would/could speed things up a little..... I have no clue how to even begin to run GMAX or FSDS... but if someone would do this project, it does NOT have to be as detailed as the picture.
Just a white cylinder with grey fins, black nose piece, brown stripe near tain, and yellow stripe near nose. I have a 2d panel that could work for this project, so that would not really be needed.
Thank you modelers for your consideration.

pretty much.
i do know 1 specific that i would like if someone would build it other than the outline "paint design"... and that would be that it could fly at least up to Mach 2. Other than that 1 request, imagination is fine.

Which one specifically? You have the AIM-9X shown in the image, but there are a dozen other variants listed on that page. So which one did you want. I might just take this up. Bet I could knock one out in a couple of hours.

ok... i will go for the AIM-9M
as i said, i do not know anything about modeling or painting... but i do have a 2d that i can slap in it. As for the paint job.... modelers choice if you do not want to go for the basic white with brown stripe near tail, yellow near nose, and a black nose cone.
Thank you in advance
oh and Fozzer, lol. how would you like to dogfight with me after i get the missle???? you be the guy at the end of the video.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaARvDSPbYY&feature=related
yeah i know the vid is of an AIM-120, but still ... same principle.

I have a missile that was ment to be launched, but you could pair it with a .cfg, an .air, and mabe an F-18 VC, lol.
ANYWAYS, it would save the modeling and the texturing...

I got models and textures for:
Aim 9B
Aim 9D
Aim 9E
Aim 9H
Aim 9L
Aim 9M
Aim 9X
We aren't releasing or profiting from it, so it shouldn't be a problem to the modeller right?
Hmm, maybe I am mistaken but not really sure.

nope, not selling or going to post it up for download (well..... the person that models it can post it up if they feel like it....) I just think it would be interesting to zip through the skies at Mach 2 @ FL300 full afterburns ...... just seeking a target to destroy!!!! (devil grins x 200)

Well, from my post above, I was stating that I was starting the project then. However, after almost three hours of work . . . Gmax crashed and the only file I was working with (I know, multiple saves
) is unrecoverable.
Sorry about that, but my frustration has been overriding my want to get back on the horse. I was pretty close to a decent-looking model, too. Thank goodness I hadn't started texturing yet, or I really would be tearing my hair out!

Sorry, Captain. I've been on hiatus for the past couple of weeks as far as designing goes. I just can't seem to get the impetus to start anything. I think my designing bug needs a recharge. I'll let you know when I get back to doing anything.

nobody wants to give this a try??? simple cylinder with a nose cone, 8 fins, simple paintjob, and "programming" the motherboard so that it can fly upwards of 3,000 KIAS ?????
I have a 2d panel, but just want the missle body.
