I presume you are talking about Windows games.

TrackMania is a good one. The 'Nations Forever' version is free. It's just a marvelous game.

I thoroughly enjoy TOCA Racedriver 3

many different styles of racing from F1/nascar to hot rods, stock cars, and even monster trucks at some of the famous tracks from around the world.

from what I know of such things (very little) the realism is pretty good

Agreed. The MSFS of car racing games. More add ons and mod than you can shake a stick at. Smiley

Now that I'm totally addicted, is there a way to change camera views? Grin

Not a big fan of the behind the car camera, would much prefer a bumper cam or an in-car view. Other wise this game is AWESOME!!! Thanks Waspi!! Cool

I love the track editor on this game!

Sorry but have you not played that many?
I found it both unrealistic and rather boring all wrapped up into one. Its the one game that has me biting my nails as to what that company will do to the F1 series now they have it.
If they deliver the same acrade style completely unrealistic handling crap they did with Grid I might go down to their offices and punch someone. Lips Sealed

Well, if you like realistic racing games then Grid isn't it because it's more of a smash and bash game for people not into serious racing. In terms of fun with Grid it's a 9/10 but realism is barely present. It all depends on what kind of racing you are into. Wink

however it provides a much better alternative than the need for speed series
