I did a search to see if anybody had already done this, but didn't find anything. So if it's already been done, my apologies.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

The long lens scene actually looked more like 30 to 40 feet, but then they did a close up and it was about 3 feet. I don't think it is possible to get them that close without contact from the vertical stabilizer. Goose said it was like 3 meters when they were in class  giving 'Charlie; a hard time.

Long lens from the movie.

Close up from the movie.
...

What the close up would look like from a little further away,
using my version.

It was actually about 2 and a half.... but he got a great Polaroid of it!

Cool shot, but why does it look fuzzy?

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Thanks Sarge. I've always liked Anthony Edwards, but especially as Goose. They could not have cast better. The whole movie is cast great. "i feel the need..."
Oh yeah, rub Goose between the ears for me. I love cats and they like me.

You are correct sir. I later remembered that he or Maverick one started out at 3 and then Goose said exactly what you quoted. I was
thinking about going back and editing what I said when I read your post. Now I don't have to edit. Thanks.
