I just picked-up a Q9550 to throw in my current system which is a P4 670@3.8ghz.

My question is: Do I have to re-install my OS ?

Currently running XP Pro 32. (I know, 64 is down the road Wink

)

nop just chuck it in and it should go, but if it is second hand then you will need to reapply the thermal paste.
