Help...
Hello,
I currently have a CD drive and a DVD Burner dive on my machine.
I purchased another DVD burner drive so that I can burn DVD to DVD.

I have an extra 4-pin power supply connector right there ready to be connected to the new drive, easy.

As for the 40-pin IDE cable, there is no extra cable as it comes from the MOBO, to the CD Drive and then to the existing DVD drive.

Here is my question.

I see I have an secondary IDE Port on the MOBO that is right next to the the one that is connected to the existing DVD & CD Drives.
The directions say I can use this secondary to go to the new DVD Drive, is this correct?

And where can I get one of theses 40-pin IDE cables?

Thanks!
Dave

I see I can get this 40-pin IDE cable from Radio Shack.

If anybody can confirm.. just plug it into the secondary on the MOBO and it should work?

Correct.. make sure the new drive is set correctly on its jumper to either CS or MASTER

The BIOS should find the drive on first boot and so should Windows
