Most of us here probably don't have time to dedicate ourselves to an airline. Heck.. just look at the X v 9 comp down in the Studio V Grin We're barely making the deadline for the shots there Roll Eyes

Either that, or we just prefer to fly our own way. That's why I don't do it. I rather fly my own routes wherever I want using whichever plane I desire at any time.

About 75% of the dedicated SimV forum members are involved in low and slow flights that go wherever they want.

I highly a VA would be successful with this bunch.  You can try if you want tho  Wink

On another note, what in the world does this have to do with FSX?  Huh

This is far more appropriate for the "Virtual Airlines Events & Messages" forum.  Cool

A terrific idea SimMaster, but as said before, there aren't too many full time members here that would dedicate to a VA, I imagine if it was formed some members would sign up, and it's worth a shot, but it wouldn't be huge by any means...

...maybe if someone created a SimV bush pilot VA it would attract some attention...

You might as well try it if you get permisson from the admins of this site.
It would be interesting to see who would participate. I think if you ensured that there was a good mix of aircraft:
Props, Turboprops, and Jetliners, all of high quality for 2004 and X, that the turnout would be pretty good.

I'd love a Simviation VA. Make up some flights and some paints and we are good to go!

If someone wants to set it up let me or one of the mods know, we'll clear it with Pete, and you can see where it goes...might turn into something big, who knows?

This is not a bad idea when you think about all the resources we already have in place for such a thing.

We have our own:
  -online server
  -talented repainters
  -Great modelers
  -pilots of all kinds
-download section full of great addons (including a few SimV repaints)

It would be cool to see this take off. Cool

Its the inclusion of the word "Airlines" that may cause some confusion... Roll Eyes...!

Many/most of the VA, "Virtual Airlines" advertised here, and elsewhere, are mostly interested in the organisation, and running of "Commercial Airline" activity, involving medium to large, heavy, Jet, Air Liners!

That would exclude the large quantity of the regular "General Aviation" Pilots here, who use the Sim V Server on a regular basis... Cry...!

I normally avoid "Virtual Airline" Sites for that very reason!

Maybe a better "description" would be preferable to use?.... Roll Eyes....?

Many other VA Sites use the description "Flying Club", which covers many diverse Flight Sim activities... Smiley...!

Paul....G-BPLF....FS 2004...FS Navigator...and a Flight Sim PPL (Private Pilot), General Aviation licence... Wink...!

That's a very good point Fozz. Wink Flying Club does sound more inclusive to different flying styles and activities. Smiley

And you can be our California air taxi service. Grin

Fozzer's famous; "California Air Tours", in our fleet of Beechcraft Beech Baron 58, Twin prop Aircraft are very popular!.... Smiley...!

Very reasonably priced, with an in-flight commentary carried out by our well-proportioned Air Hostesses... Kiss....!

A flying club. Paul and yours truly once became a member of a certain flying club. Paul got kicked out for being too funny, I got kicked out for asking too many questions.....

Remember that Paul?
