Hey guys,

I have a couple of flights planned for Saturday, March 7th (a week from tomorrow), if anyone is interested.

New York La Guardia (KLGA) - Boston (KBOS)

Gdansk, Poland (EPGD)  -  Khrabrovo, Russia (UMKK)

I will be using the SCS Tu-134, in a LOT livery for the Polish flight, and in the white Sirius Aero livery for the other flight.
It is a jet airliner, so if you decide to join me, choose something that can keep up.  Wink

This will occur on SimV's own server, and I will announce the starting time sometime this coming week.

I hope to see a few people there.  Wink

7pm sounds good to me.

Scenery:

Just look up the various airports on this page. The airports that we will fly to/from all have great freeware scenery for them.

Grimshaw's (FlyTampa) KBOS scenery is a wonderful peice of freeware.  It is a "teaser" for FlyTampa payware.  And go get Aerosoft's AES package... it is a free download that will activate for FREE with that version of KBOS.  The combo rivals FSX and then some.

best,

You will now become addicted to AES..... and be begging on the street corner for pennies to buy payware airports and AES credits.   Wink

I just realized...

While attempting to work teamspeak today, I realized that I don't have a mic and the one I have doesn't reach.  Do they sell extenders? Huh

I don't know about extenders, but Newegg has plenty of cheap mics.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&Description=microphone...

The one I use is very similar to the Cyber Acoustics CVL-1065B 3.5mm Connector Desktop Microphone listed.

----------------------------
Also, I am reconsidering my personal aircraft choices for these routes. The New York - Boston one will be conducted in my YS-11 turboprop. The Poland - Russia one will still be in a jet, but I am currently looking for options other than the Tu-134. All I ask is that you bring something with similar performance. I did a Boston - JFK flight a few days ago in the YS, and I believe it took around 40 minutes, not counting waiting in a line of AI traffic.

So far, the time of 7pm US Eastern on this coming Saturday should be just fine. I will try to let you guys know if anything comes up that would prevent me from showing up.

I would suggest using real world weather for this trip, but if you are unable or just don't want to, that's fine.

A few other noteworthy items:
Aerosoft's AES service is free and fully active for Boston along with Gdansk, Poland. Highly suggested, but not required.

If I am able to make it, I'll be in my BAe 146-200....which is THE plane I fly  99.9999999% of the time.   (Jon Murchison's in United Express paint.)  KLGA to KBOS blocks to blocks (without AI) likely will be just about 1 hour.

This might just give me an excuse to buy/install the Imaginesim KLGA (which supports Aerosoft's AES).  We'll see.   Already had the Boston scenery for a long time.

best,

Do you think it will work?

Edited:
Got one for $20.  Also picked up a PC to TV converter so I can play fs on the tv! Wink (52")
