I've just bought these parts to build a new computer for FSX:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3.0GHz
Asus P5Q Deluxe Motherboard
4 GB Kingston Hyperx 800MHz RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT Video Card with Thermalright HR-03-GT cooler
Maxtor 500GB SATA 16MB Hard Drive
Antec TruePower Trio 650 Watt Power Supply Unit
Antec Nine Hundred Gaming Case

Should i go with Vista to make use of the 4 GB RAM, or stick with my XP 32bit?
Should i overclock anything, or leave it alone?

Thanks,

Keith.

get a good cooler for that processor and clock it to about 3.6 to get much better performance. as long as you tweak the OS and FSX quite well, don't try to go all out on the settings, and maintain your computer as you should, FSX will run just fine. congratulations Wink
