I saw an A-4 pilot eject AFTER he touched down. There were circumstances, but still.

GA Piston Prop, Sim flights are not a good idea, and could turn into a disaster when a problem suddenly rears its ugly head without warning, surrounded by unsuitable terrain below!...

High altitude gives more time to figure out a suitable landing area...(I must keep reminding myself...
