What is your favorite T.V. show?
When I do get the time to watch T.V. I enjoy
1. TopGear.
2. Anthony Bourdain's: No Reservations.
3. Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nighmares/The F Word.
Umm...Cars, Travel/Cooking/Snark, and more Cooking/Snark.
....Not quite sure what that says about me...

I like Mythbusters, Deadliest Catch, Modern Marvels, Other History Channel documentaries on US history and Ancient History, basically anything on Dicovery, History, or Science Channels. Survivorman's a good one. American Eat's is pretty cool. Great, now you've got me started talking about all my nerdy shows.
Dirty Jobs is another good one. AC 360 for news. I'll stop there.

I'd rather go for Ziva or Kate.
NCIS is definitely at the top of my list, although I do enjoy 24, Cash Cab and Good Eats with Alton Brown (who is in fact, a pilot).
I also just re-discovered The Thin Blue Line. Great series.

for me, anything on the Discovery Channel or History Channel is good
except for those car tuning shows like Overhauling or those forensic documentaries ....
but my top favorite show has to be Mythbusters, those guys have the best job in the world
if i can't make it as a game designer, i'm going to apply for mythbuster
Cheers

My favorite TV show has been off the air for many years-
It inspired my future endeavors.....
Combat
The Rat Patrol
Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea
The Munsters
Dark Shadows
The Addams Family
The Outer Limits (1960S Version)
The Twilight Zone (1960S Version)
Battlestar Galactica (old)
Notice to lack of modern TV shows....
They have tried in vain to capture the magic of most of these old shows and almost all of the remakes have been dismal flops.
Now the newer Star Treks and Star Wars are better that the older versions.
"I have a place where dreams are born, And time is never planned. It’s not on any chart, You must find it with your heart."
Albert Einstein - "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."
Martin Luther King Jr. - “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - “There is nothing worse than aggressive stupidity.”
Mark Twain - “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

I'm with you Romulus, heck Thunderbirds was made in the sixties using puppets. It still has more thespianic talent than most modern TV.
Of course I love classic British comedies as well like Blackadder and Yes, Minister/Prime Minister.
The only American sit-com I've enjoyed in the last couple of decades was 3rd Rock From The Sun which was exactly what a sit-com should be

I probably can't remember all of them but I'll try:
Burn Notice
Fresh Prince of Bel-air
Any of the 'Mark & Olly' series (preferably the new "Living with the Machigenga" because they speak an Arawakan language which is absolutely beautiful)
Family Guy
Futurama
Ice Road Truckers
Deadliest Catch
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations
I'm sure there are many more I'm missing, including shows that aren't aired any more.
EDIT:
Dogfights
Mad TV
That's pretty much all I watch. If it's something else I'll switch the channel, unless of course it's a good movie or if it's something interesting (usually Travel Channel, Discovery Channel or History Channel)
I find myself watching a lot of CNN after the elections last year

I can't believe you guys have missed a great series thats on AMC: "Breaking Bad." Long story short its about a high school chemistry teacher and a punk former student who decide to cook meth and their lives crash down on them. I highly recommend it.
Other than that:
Top Gear
House
Wonder Years - I remember watching this quite a while ago as a child.

Hockey - I assume Ice....violent, tedious....not a particularly good sport
NASCAR - For drivers who don't understand the concept of 'bends'
Football - I assume American....one of the only sports designed for commercial breaks....
That's why I don't watch sports
JK.....I like a bit of F1 and will watch the footie (proper footie) if I'm bored....
