Hi, i was wondering if anyone can help me?
I have a Compaq Presario
AMD 64 Processor
3700+
2.19GHz, 1.00Gb of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6200SE TurboCache
I am running FSX on medium-ish settings and it just about runs smoothly
Can anyone suggest any upgrades in Graphics card or processor that will allow me to put the sliders up to full, or near full?
I would like to upgrade bits on my current pc, instead of a new pc, as it is cheaper.
Can anyone help me?

While it was a good processor in its day, the 3700 is four year old, single-core technology. A computer built around one is well past its practical, upgrade window.

HOWEVER, considering that your running a video-card that is barely more than a monitor interface.. it might be worth hunting down an old nVidia 7800, 7900, or 7950. And if your motherboard supports o-clocking, the 3700 is an prime candidate.

Honestly though.. before I'd spend even $100 on a platform that old, I'd save it toward a new build.
