No real favourite... I just like things which are 'good'. I think there's something from all genres worth listening to.

The things I listen to mostly, though:

Rock
Heavy metal
Electronic

Just, music....

I really don't like to generalize "rock", as it can vary a LOT

I like most styles of music providing it's well written & performed. My favourite 'genre'* is not on the list. Good old-fashioned Rock 'n Roll as played by Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard etc. etc. You can't whack it. Smiley

*How I hate that word. Smiley

I like Big Band stuff (1940-50), Classic Rock (1960-mid 80's) and country, along with a smattering of about everything else but rap.

Yes, "rock" is a very broad subject. Just not enough poll options for all of the different kinds... Cool Grin

Yeah, but rock is just awesome. I agree though, rock is a whole different section itself. I like classical also. Big contrast, but great styles.

Cool

I voted for blues, rock and heavy metal.

I've been raised with rock (and roll) music. In my teens I started listening to heavy metal (still do) and lately I've grown more and more fond of old blues music. No favourites in that genre, just random artists.

Crash Wink (rocking all over the world....)

When it comes to "Blues", my favourite is the old-time, 1920's "New Orleans Blues", which used to be played as the band marched down the streets, often at Funerals.....
.....or the Guitarist played on his old Acoustic Guitar, whilst rocking in his Chair on his wooden Veranda...Wink...!

Paul... Smiley...!

I wonder if Mozart, J.S. Bach, Pachebel, Henry Purcell, John Dowland, et al, are thinking that they have been wasting their time demonstrating the gentle art of making music?... Shocked.... Cry...!

Well, I'll listen to a variety of genres, but rock is my favourite. I like to listen to the old-fashioned rock back from the 60's and the following decades (Rolling Stones, Dead Kennedys, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, things like that), just good, clean rock.

I like rock with a more electronic sound as well though. I do listen to some electronica as well, none of that hip hop and techno for me... blargh.
