Nick,

I've tuned FSX using your guide and have nHancer working correctly too. However, I don't remember seeing any recommendations for setting the sliders in FSX. I'm sure you did, I just can't find it.

I'm using the Q6600 at 3.6 with 4gb Dominator RAM, GTX280 and Vista 64. Would my sliders be different than your regular settings?

Steve there is no such thing as FSX settings that work for everyone.. however there are base settings I start out with and then trim and tun for each system. The tuning list I provided has complete instructions for that

Still trying to get rid of stutter in the turns. It is not good. I can be running at 50fps and when I turn, I see the FPS drop to 6 or 7, back to 50, down to 6, up again, etc, etc.

Thoughts on this?

Also, I just sent you a PM. Starting an i7 build.

its not always best to leave frame lock unlimited

at the same time stutters in turns can be caused by the systems inability to deal with scenery geometry which is where the bufferpool edit may help, or, a sign of thread collision from scenery where the affinity mask setting of 14 can sometimes make a difference

past that I would need to see the problem directly to know what may be happening

besides.. I think its going to be moot anyway since you ordered a new system
