Hi.

I'm posting this here because the other forums used by PMDG seem to be having problems.

I noticed this evening that I'm having trouble trying to use the radio in the MD11 when on VATSIM via Sqawkbox.

All I get is the error sound when trying to transmit voice.

I can tune to the controller, and hear them, but not transmit anything as comm1 seems to be playing up.

It just goes straight to comm2 displaying the MIC button on comm2 as well.

anyone else had this problem at all.

Thanks for any info on this.

Check the aircraft cfg file and look for the RADIO section it should like the on below. This is from the default Lear 45.
Radios]
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1       = 1
Com.1         = 1, 1
Com.2         = 1, 1
Nav.1         = 1, 1, 1
Nav.2         = 1, 1, 0
Adf.1         = 1
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1      = 1
Cool
Oh by the way the other forum you spoke of is back up and running. It got swamped with everyone reading the story about the Aces Studio.
Don"t ask how I know. Roll Eyes

Hi Gary.

Well my radio section is as below.

[Radios]
// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 1
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 0, 1
Nav.2=1, 0, 0
Adf.1=1
Adf.2=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

and I still seem to have the problem, I just can't get the Comm1 radio button to stay on in the MD11, it just goes straight to the comm2 radio channel when pressed.

I will have to investigate further I suppose.

But thanks for trying though all the same.

Don't edit aircraft.cfg with PMDG. I don't think it's a good idea.

Download the latest patch on the PMDG website too.
