Unlikely but if the dispute isn't sorted soon. Who knows.

Gotta pay to play. Heck, I have to invest in tools constantly and I would bet on a percentage basis that I shell out more than them on an annual basis.
Sounds like a bunch of spoiled rich boys to me! Angry

Not a problem if you are Lewis or Kimi, but what about those who are not on such in such a premium seat. It will cost Hamilton about €220,000 and Jenson Button in 8th will be around €20,000. You could still argue that it is not a lot for these guys to pay, but how many other sports do you have to pay when you win. I find it somewhat hypocritical that Whiplash Max, the Poisoned Dwarf and the FIA whittle on about cost cutting and are putting the price of everything up be it a license, viewing costs or hosting fees.

But some of the drivers also live in places like Monte Carlo to avoid paying taxes. I pay my taxes AND spend a large part of my wages on tools to do my job.
Without knowing how the F1 fees are spent makes it hard for me to comment on justifying them. Apparently at least a part of it goes into leather goods. Perhaps if F1 had some disclosure and transparency I may change my opinion. Yeah, like that'll happen. I do agree that the basic structure on how the pay is determined and collected is very uneven and even bordering on the ridiculous.
I know NASCAR (Narcissistic Association of Spec Car Auto Racing) collects fees from the teams, though I don't know the particulars. I'm sure IRL does also.
Maybe the time is ripe for the team owners to start their own version of F1. It was tried over here in th early 1970s (They called it A1 I believe) and it failed miserably, I think mostly because a: It was over here and b: The general American population didn't understand it.
