I love them!

Are they legal?

Depends.

MAME is legal but most of the ROMS aren't.

Like Winamp is legal but most of my .mp3's aren't.

Cool. I have two emulators. (i got both bios legally, by dropping them from the system). 1 for my PS2 games (which i havent gotten to work right- runs really slow) and one for my PS1 games (which runs perfectly)

i while back i was getting a kick out of playing my old N64 games on my PC with Project64

seems legal enough to me if you actually own the games you're emulating, but don't wanna go through the hassle of hooking up your old console and finding those long-lost games

interestingly enough, i found that Zelda: Ocarina of Time plays perfectly on a Triple Head resolution

Cheers

Being a Sinclair Spectrum 48k addict from the early 1980's..(I still have all the Hardware and Software to this day)...my favourite Emulator which I use regularly is the Spectrum Emulator..."Spectaculator"...http://www.spectaculator.com/

I have my early "Free" version saved on CD, which also contains the "!Multiface 1" Emulator for hacking into the program...infinite lives, infinite ammo, etc, etc... Kiss...!

...so much fun!... Smiley...!

I also have a real Amiga 1200 with all its hardware and software, but the PC Emulator for it does impose certain problems...(ROMs) etc... Sad...!

...and I also use the Atari 2600, etc, Emulators...

Happy memories from the past... Smiley...!

Paul....8-bit enthusiast... Cool...!
