I kind of agree with anxyous on this one, I think REX makes most shots look like a half done composite. Undecided

The sky and planes always seem to look better than the ground scenery, unless photo scenery is used like in Mouse's last set.

Well, IMO, the clouds look outta place. They stick out, and sometimes look way overdone (I've never seen clouds like those IRL Cheesy

) It seems beauty was chosen of realism. If you take a look, they'll be sharply white near the top. You'd usually have to be above a cloud to see that.

And the water looks like glass... And then there's the sun! Cheesy

Looks like a huge, glowing orb to me.

Just my look at it Undecided

EDIT:

And BTW, *some* screenshot artists have developed a tendency for seeing REX as a shortcut to winner shots Lips Sealed

I kinda disagree with you.

Firstly REX allows you to choose texture sets that actually represent the type of weather patterns you would find in certain sets of the world.

Example: Sunsets, you could choose African type sunsets, Northern coldish sunsets.

As for clouds, these clouds are very common in my region and often upon travel I found great similarity.

Weather does not look the same in different places in the world.

As for the water, there are many other themes, I like sparkling, I am use to such since I do stay in a tropical part of the world. I can relate to it.

As for the sun, I could agree that it looks extreme, there are other options but I like the glowing orb.

As for trying to make winner shots because of REX Undecided

I am just posting my shots like other people. I know you mentioned *some* however, don't see why it should have been mentioned here if not directed for my attention.

I have said to you before I don't consider myself an artist nor trying to be, just a person liking to sim and share shots Embarrassed

You won't find me posting shots for judge stuff etc, my activity in compos are rather limited so i cannot see how I use REX to my advantage in that sense.

Anyway, even if REX looked faked/unreal it beats the default.

I do agree with Shane on this one, REX don't blend all too well with the default scenery, but not at fault of REX.

It does however blend better then the default still
