roll it back to Jan 15, 15:25 hrs and watch what happens. USA 1549 takes off rwy 4 and starts its fateful journey. Click on the plane icon to get its vnav info. Keep your eye on the northbound GA aircraft in the Hudson VFR corridor at 1000'. Looks like they passed within 300' of each other as the GA craft veers hard right to avoid just south of the GWB. Wow!

Very interesting...note how it turns around and overflys the A320 a couple of times as well.....
From that map though I'd say there was at least 300-500ft of vertical separation between them....still pretty scary though

I wonder if that GA pilot was on the radio with the TCA, he could have reported what happended from the air, he was on top of the accident after all.
