I'd probably crop out some of the picture...
And exhaust is way too blurry and distorted IMO...
Other than that, I quite like it

The motion blur should be parallel with the plane.

Since you invited,
The heat blur looks really bad, the effect should be toned down quite a bit to where it's not distorting the wings of the plane.
The background is quite a bit too blurry also, the blur looks right in the immediate foreground, but the distance should not be as blurred as it is, think about what it looks like when your riding in a car and looking out the window, the ground in front of you is pretty blurry, but objects further away keep some amount of focus.
The rear of the plane should not be blurred, as the rest of it (minus the distorted parts) are in nice focus.
As for the above comment about cropping this shot, why? there wouldn't be much left in a pic this small. If you crop out the foreground, you take away the one part of the shot that is correctly displaying the sense of speed, and if you crop out the background, it leaves a very boring, unbalanced shot.
And for the last bit of advice, since you did ask, spend less time editing shots in school and more time focusing on your schoolwork, you'll end up much better off for it.

I like the blur of the whole picture but not the flaps blur.
Nice shot
How do you manage to do this during school?
Sincerely, Tyler

well i have this class call Businesses Image & Multimedia Management (BIMM) and we have been learning about photo shop in there so i thought i would give it a shot because i don't wanna go out and spend $300 on photo shop, and we had a "free" day so we could either watch a movie or fart around on the computer and thats what i decided to do, so a hour and a half later this is what i came up with
