The Toe Brakes on the Cirrus Pedals do not function properly.  The left Toe brake when engaged forces the elevator fully down.  The right Toe brake when engaged forces the left aileron fully up.  I use the Cirrus Mooney Yolk.  Both Yolk and Pedals are interfaced to the computer by USB connections. I appreciate any suggestions.
FSX, Acceleration.  Vista 64bit OS.  Thanks gbergh

Lemme get this straight:

You have a set of pedals, where the toe-brakes don't work properly?

In that case:

Wrong forum.

Go to settings -> controls, and set the toebrakes as brakes.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I went to FSX ...Settings and then Controls.  I was unable to discern where I would declare toe brake functionality.  Is it perhaps associated with "Brakes (apply/release)"?

Most likely.

Click 'New assignment' and use the toe brakes, when it pops up.

Not sure wether or not you can add both pedals to the same control though...

Brake (apply left) and (apply right) should be directly above  Brakes (apply/release) on the 'Buttons/Keys' tab, but that's not what you want.

From the product description for your Cirrus pedals, each pedal is fitted with brake potentiometer (axis). This will give you proportional control of your brakes. You need to assign these from the 'Control Axes' tab, Brake (left axis) and Brake (right axis).

To avoid control conflict, you'll also want to go thru all control assignments (Buttons/Keys and Control Axes tabs) and make sure there are not other butttons or axes from any other devices assigned the these events. Be sure to check all devices by selecting each from the 'Controller type:' drop down list.

Edit: this is the first I've seen of the PFC Controllers. Have to say they're impressive, though way out of my price range.   Shocked    Smiley

Good evening Dave, clearly you have sent me in the  proper direction. When I would attempt to assign the AXIS to either the left or right
Toe Brake, the AXIS would be removed from either the Aileron or Elevator.  I ran FSX with the AXIS assigned to the Toe Brake and FSX indicated "Differential Brakes".  I have been unable to locate documentation within FSX that describes the proper setup of the Toe Brakes.   I have attempted to use the PFCFSX driver in concert with the FSUIPC driver without any sucess.  I will go back to the latter solution and attempt to resolve it there.  Thanks  GBergh

That's what you should see. With your toe brake axes properly assigned to both left and right axes, you now have left and right independent 'proportional brakes' (the harder you push, the greater the brake pressure unlike the brake key/button which is all or nothing).

If you apply 1 or the other (or both, but with different pressure), you'll see 'differential brakes', and the aircraft will pull in the direction of the greater pressure. If you apply both brakes with equal pressure, the message will change to 'brakes' (indicating equal pressure) and should provide straight slowing/stopping.

To my knowledge (not being a rw pilot) this is the way it works in those ac that have the rudder/toe brake pedals.

As for the Cirrus drivers, if you're having problems it might be best to go to the PFC-http://www.flypfc.com/-site and look or ask in their support forum (registration required to view forum).

Once you have the toe brake axes assigned, you should run 'calibrate..' in the 'Calibration' tab. After calibration, if you are seeing the 'differential brakes' message when you are not pushing either pedal, the sim may be reading one of the axes in the wrong direction. You may have to put or remove a check mark in the 'reverse' box for one of the axes in the 'control axes' tab.

Good evening Dave.  I assigned the left brake to the X Axis and the Right Brake to the Y Axis.  The brakes responded in the correct manner when they were engaged.  When the assignment was completed, the X Axis was removed from the Aileron and the Y Axis was removed from the elevator.   The brake function proberly in this assignment but the Aileron and elevator do not function properly.  I have been to the PFC web site to download the PFCFSX driver. I have attempted to utilize that driver in concert with the FSUIPC driver but not much luck yet.  I sure appreciate your efforts to help me out of my problem.   GBergh

Sounds like you have to got into the Control settings, Control Axes tab and assign the appropriate axes on your yoke to the aileron and elevator axes.

Good morning Dave, I finanily got the Toe Brake, Brakes and surface controls to work in Harmony.  The problem I was having was the result of using of a USB Hub.  My flight sim setup includes two Del 2407 monitors.  They have a built in USB Hub. I had the Yolk, Pedals and the Wirless mouse plugged into the Hub.  I removed the Yolk and Pedals from the USB Hub and the controls opperated corectly.  I so appreciate your assistance in sorting out my problems.  Many thanks GBergh
