Just downloaded and installed Ubuntu Linux on my machine, somehow my FS pc crashed due to a Virus....Whats weird is I wasnt surfing any questionable sites???

I lost everything Ground Environment, UT, FSUPIC so on and so on...Im gonna give X-Plane a try for a bit...I have some backups but I really dont feel like setting all that crap up again

I dont understand what these goof balls get out of making viruses and screwing up peoples PC's Angry

I think capital punishment is fully justified in the case of virus writers.   Wink

Ive tried Ubuntu in the past and I was lukewarm on it, but this latest update is nice...they also have support for my nVidia card....The GUI window effects are really cool..also by using the scroll wheel on the mouse you can scroll across 2 desktops....

Whats cool is you can network multiple instances of Xplane...this will be nice when I start on my cockpit again... Wink all without any additional software Cheesy, also Ubuntu runs fast, I have a feeling Xplane will too..

The downside for most is the Linux learning curve, but slowly Im learning how to compile programs, also Im having some problems setting up a USB wireless network adapter...right now I have a cat5 running across the floor Tongue

Yesterday I was Pi$$ed...now Im thankful... Grin

Ill miss the killer graphics in fs9...but Im tired of the vulnerability and resource hog that is windows.....
