It's time to get my beloved Captain Sim F-104 running on my new computer with Vista 64, but the install has not been cooperating so far. From what I can see, there are two possible solutions:
* Running as administrator and in compatibility mode (so far no success)
* Running the offline installation software

If anyone has been successful in loading an older MSFS9 Captain Sim aircraft on Vista64 I'd like to hear from you to know it's possible. Also, if you can give me a hint how you did it I'd be most appreciative.
thx!

Go to:
Control Panel\User Accounts
and click on "Turn UAC on or off"

Turn UAC off. Restart your computer.
Try installing again. (Do not use compatibility mode.)

If that doesn't work send them an email. As far as I am aware, none of Captain Sim's products are Vista Certified so you may just be out of luck.

Also possible: if you have the digital reciept (or whatever code etc they give you) then you can ask them to send you the product again in a zip file containing the effects, aircraft and gauges folder.
